Spring in Zealand

Gundsømagle Lake and Bird Reserve is a scenic natural area on the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark, offering close-up encounters with birds, plants, and vast reedbeds.

Boserup Forest is one of the most popular natural areas near Roskilde and forms part of the Skjoldungernes Land National Park. The forest reaches right down to Roskilde Fjord and is around 3–4 km from the centre of Roskilde.

Around Roskilde Fjord, you’ll find some of Zealand’s most beautiful waterside experiences, featuring calm coastlines, lively harbours and excellent conditions for both swimming and fishing.

One of the best ways to experience Skjoldungernes Land National Park is by foot. Lace up your walking shoes, pack a lunch and water and disappear into one of the national park’s large, deep forests, explore the rolling landscape dotted with manor estates, or bike along the fjord.

Roskilde Cathedral is Denmark’s most important church – a Gothic medieval cathedral, royal mausoleum, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
