Lejre Land of Legends is a unique attraction with its large and famous King's Hall, houses and environments from the Stone Age, the Iron Age, the Viking Age as well as workshops.

Cycle along Ledreborg Avenue and visit the palace park

Land of Legends is around four kilometres from Lejre Station via Ledreborg Avenue. Enjoy the ride through the rolling countryside and the views across the golf course at Ledreborg. For a break from cycling, stop for a walk in the palace park.

Take your bike on the train to Lejre Station

Plan your train journey from Copenhagen to Lejre Station and bring your own bike. From the station, you can cycle to the attractions around Gammel Lejre and Ledreborg, then return for your train home.

Check DSB’s current bike rules for both your outward and return journeys. Bikes can currently travel free on regional trains outside weekday peak hours and throughout the weekend, subject to available space. During weekday peak hours, you need a bicycle space ticket. Bikes cannot be taken on rail replacement buses.
