Rejsestalden in Jægerspris – Cultural Venue by Castle and Forest

Located in the heart of Jægerspris, close to the forest and Jægerspris Castle, Rejsestalden Kulturhus is a historic cultural venue. Originally built in 1875 as part of Jægerspris Hotel, the building was transformed into a cultural centre in 1995 following an extensive renovation led by local citizens.

Today, Rejsestalden serves as a central meeting place for culture and community in Frederikssund Municipality. The venue hosts concerts, lectures, art exhibitions and creative activities for both children and adults. Many events are developed in collaboration with local associations and residents, creating a vibrant and diverse cultural environment.

Culture and community in historic surroundings

The original architecture has been preserved, providing an atmospheric setting for events throughout the year. The different rooms accommodate everything from smaller meetings and workshops to larger events. The courtyard and outdoor areas are also used for special occasions.

Rejsestalden is available free of charge for non-private events arranged by local associations, institutions and citizens, supporting community-driven initiatives.

Cultural venue and tourist information

Rejsestalden also functions as a tourist information point and source of inspiration for visitors to the area. Guests can find information about attractions and experiences in Jægerspris and the surrounding Fjordlandet region. The combination of cultural venue and tourist information makes it a natural stop for both locals and visitors.
