Naturekspressen in Hornsherred – Explore the Fjord Landscape
Naturekspressen offers guided tours through the varied landscapes of Hornsherred between Roskilde Fjord and Isefjord. The tractor-drawn carriage accommodates 26 passengers and two wheelchairs. Each tour combines nature, storytelling and local attractions at a relaxed pace.
Naturekspressen was created to make the natural surroundings and attractions of Hornsherred more accessible. Connections between villages, fjord landscapes and hidden gems can be difficult to reach on foot, but the cosy carriage makes the journey part of the experience. No two tours are alike, and each route offers new perspectives on the area.
Guided Tours with Local Farmers
Behind the wheel are volunteer local farmers who share their knowledge of nature, history and everyday life in Hornsherred. The drivers are approved for passenger transport and guide visitors to both well-known attractions and lesser-known spots. The illustrations decorating the carriage are from the children’s book Adventure in Hornsherred, illustrated and written by Karen Borch.
