Walking in Skjoldungernes Land National Park

The national park is characterised by a varied and gently rolling landscape of hills and valleys, forests and lakes, streams and wetlands, as well as Roskilde Fjord with its coastal meadows, small islands and rich birdlife. The routes of the Skjoldungemarchen are carefully planned to highlight the area’s natural beauty and distinctive landscapes.

The event offers an opportunity to meet fellow walkers and share the landscape along the way. Choose a distance that suits your experience and preparation.

Distances and practical information

Previous walks have offered four distances: 20, 35, 50 and 75 km.

Walkers have started and finished at Lejre Hallen, a sports hall in Lejre, following marked routes with GPS directions for the Komoot navigation app. Refreshment stops have offered food and drinks along the way, with a medal and refreshments at the finish. Check what is included when the next walk is announced.

Follow Fremad March for news about the next walk, routes and registration. Dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the event.
