Stay in the atmospheric Bidstrup Forests
Here you will find Avnstrup Shelter - an ideal choice for those seeking genuine nature experiences combined with generous space and well-considered accessible design. Here, you stay overnight at the edge of the forest with views across meadows and a lake, surrounded by tranquillity, birdsong and forest life.
The shelter is large and spacious, with sleeping space for 10-12 people, and is perfectly suited for families, groups, institutions and outdoor enthusiasts looking for a comfortable and accessible base in nature. The area is clear and easy to move around in, even for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.
The shelter is connected to a solid campfire house where people naturally gather. Here you will find a cosy fire pit with a grill as well as benches along the walls, designed so that wheelchair users can move right up to the seating area. This makes it easy for everyone to take part in cooking, socialising and long evenings around the fire, regardless of physical ability.
Inside the shelter itself, two ceiling-mounted rails have been installed, making it possible for visitors with reduced mobility to access the sleeping platforms (hoist slings for the system must be brought by the user). In addition, there are fittings for hanging hammocks if you prefer an alternative and relaxing way to stay overnight.
