Særløse Overdrev grasslands, Bøllesø and Avnsø lakes
Særløse Overdrev, Bøllesø and Avnsø offer three distinct nature experiences, linked by the Skjoldungestierne trails. Visitors can see grazing cattle, distinctive grassland plants and amphibians, walk along a boardwalk across the old peat bog and discover a clear forest lake used for swimming all year round.

Three natural landmarks worth visiting to the southwest of the village of Særløse
Særløse Overdrev is a picturesque ancient grassland grazed by cattle. Walkers will discover particular plants peculiar to this area. Bøllesø, which is habitat to a number of amphibians, is an ancient excavated peat bog that can be crossed today on a wooden bridge. From Bøllesøe, continue on to the clear waters of the forest lake of Avnsø, a favourite bathing spot in summer and winter alike. These three natural landmarks are linked by the Skjoldunge paths, and parking is available nearby.
