Sleep close to nature in peaceful surroundings

Løvebakkehus shelter site is tucked away in a small grove on the left-hand side of Løvebakkevej, surrounded by trees, birdsong and open countryside. Wake up to the sounds of nature, with good chances of spotting roe deer and a variety of birdlife. The nearby stream adds to the peaceful setting. The ground can be damp during the winter months.

Shelters, campfire and simple facilities

The site has two shelters, each sleeping 4–5 people, as well as space for a couple of tents nearby. Facilities include a fire pit with a grill, a composting toilet and waste and compost facilities behind the shelter. Drinking water is available from Løvebakkehus at Løvebakkevej 6. Please bring your own firewood.

Stay overnight and support a social initiative

The shelter site is part of Løvebakkehus, which includes a nursery, animals, a workshop and a farm shop, and forms part of Dankbar Konsulenterne’s work with vulnerable children and young people.

Payment is based on a “pay what you think is fair” principle via MobilePay 6169 0139. According to Løvebakkehus, contributions are used to plant trees and shrubs on the site.

Booking, consideration and access

Please show consideration for nature, animals and neighbours during your stay. Motorised vehicles are not permitted on the site, and visitors must not enter the animal enclosures.

Parking is available by the barn at Løvebakkevej 6, around 200 metres from the shelter site. Vehicles are not permitted on the grounds.

If you are arriving by train, Viby Sjælland Station is approximately 2.5 km away. The area can also be combined with walking and cycling trips, including the Ice Age Route and cycle route 44.
