Jakobskirken in Roskilde - art, organ and church life
Discover Jakobskirken in southern Roskilde, west of Copenhagen, with art by Hein Heinsen and a 25-stop organ. The parish church also hosts concerts and cultural events.

Jakobskirken is a parish church in southern Roskilde, west of Copenhagen. Its vision is to help people grow in faith, hope and love.
Art and music in the church
Architect Jørgen Hartmann-Petersen designed the pulpit, altar table and baptismal font. Sculptor and theologian Hein Heinsen created the altar-wall artwork. The church also contains other works of art.
The organ was built by Jensen og Thomsen and has 25 stops. Its French-style swell division, an enclosed section used to vary the volume, makes it well suited to Baroque and Romantic music.
Services and cultural events
Services take place on Sundays and church holidays, with occasional special services. The church also offers activities for children and families. Find service times, concerts and events on its website.
