At Munkholmbroen, anglers fish for mackerel, herring and garfish, and occasionally sea trout. The bridge crosses the narrow water between Isefjord and Tempelkrogen on Zealand, west of Copenhagen. The species you encounter depend on the season, currents and weather.

Fishing restrictions

Herring generally arrive before garfish, while mackerel fishing belongs to the warmer part of the year. Sea trout move in and out of Tempelkrogen. Special fishing restrictions apply around the bridge and nearby watercourses. Check the current rules and fishing-licence requirements before casting.
