Musicon – Roskilde’s new creative and vibrant district

In the heart of Musicon in Roskilde lies Rabalder Park – an award-winning urban park that blends play, recreation, and climate adaptation. Designed as a rainwater management system, the park also serves as a creative urban space for both children and adults.

Formhuset is a collective of passionate designers and craftspeople who personally run the shop. When you visit, you have the opportunity to experience unique products and learn the stories behind them.

Musicon is Roskilde’s vibrant new district, bursting with creativity, culture, and unique experiences. Here, homes, workplaces, leisure activities, and cultural attractions are seamlessly blended. Visit the iconic Rock Museum of pop, rock and youth culture, the contemporary dance theatre Aaben Dans, Roskilde Festival Folk High School, the metal art workshop Kunstsmedjen, and explore quirky shopping streets like Rabalderstræde and Containerstriben, or enjoy the skateparks in Rabalderparken and Hal 12.

KunstSmedjen at Musicon in Roskilde is an art workshop, artist studio, gallery, art school, and a stage for music and performance.

Hal 12 is a skate and event hall located in MUSICON, Roskilde’s creative district. The hall is built and run entirely by volunteers. It is open to everyone: BMX riders, inline skaters, scooter riders and skateboarders. There are Friday bars, themed parties and concerts featuring up-and-coming bands.

Experience the Rock Museum (known in Danish as “Rockmuseet”) in Roskilde – an interactive museum filled with sound, light and stories about rock, pop and youth culture. Here, you can hear, see and feel the music from the 1950s to the present day in one of Denmark’s most unique museum experiences.
