Valnøddegården

Valnøddegården is home to Gotland sheep, chickens, geese and rabbits. At the farm in Skibby, vegetables, fruit and berries are grown in the farm’s own orchard and can be purchased in the on-site farm shop, where all the produce is sold.

Visit a cosy, family-run farm with sheep, chickens, geese and rabbits, and a well-stocked farm shop offering a wide range of delicious products.

Valnøddegården is a charming smallholding with a lovely farm shop. Both the production and the shop focus on sustainability, and visitors can enjoy the peaceful surroundings along with home-grown biodynamic vegetables, homemade preserves and eggs from the farm’s own chickens. If you need a moment to unwind, you are also welcome to take a walk across the fields and meet the animals.

Valnøddegården is a small traditional four-winged farmstead with roots dating back to the 1700s. Susanne and Morten took over the farm at Christmas 2018 and have since developed it with great energy. The fields and kitchen garden are cultivated according to sustainable principles, and animal welfare is at the heart of everything related to the farm’s animals.

Kitchen garden and animals

A wide variety of vegetables is grown in the large kitchen garden, and across the property there are many fruit trees, berry bushes, as well as herbs and other plants. A selection of the produce is available in the farm shop, together with a tempting range of products for sweet, sour and savoury cooking.

The farm animals currently include Gotland sheep, white Danish land rabbits, chickens of various breeds and geese. In addition, the surrounding area supports rich wildlife with many different species of wild animals and insects.

Gotland sheep

The Gotland sheep, with their greyish fleeces and black heads, produce many wonderful spring lambs each year. They also provide exceptionally flavoursome lamb, sheepskins and high-quality wool yarn, all of which are sold in the farm shop.

Meet the animals at Valnøddegården

If you are looking for tranquillity, home-grown produce and close encounters with farm animals, Valnøddegården is an ideal destination for the whole family. Take a walk up to the fields and see the sheep, chickens, geese and rabbits.

In addition to the livestock, the farm is also home to the cat Iben and two Labrador dogs, Knud and Helle. Iben takes care of catching mice, while Knud and Helle mainly enjoy playing and attracting attention.
