Store Hestedag – Denmark’s Largest Outdoor Horse & Dog Event

Store Hestedag presents a wide variety of experiences with more than 1,000 horses in action. Visitors can explore breed presentations, competitions in dressage, show jumping and working equitation, as well as spectacular horse shows. The event area also features a large exhibition and shopping section with equipment and accessories for both horses and dogs, alongside activities for all age groups.

Horses and Equestrian Sports at the Centre

The event highlights a broad range of equestrian disciplines, including breed assessments, clinics, harness racing and special disciplines. Both traditional and modern elements of equestrian sport are represented, offering insight into Denmark’s strong horse culture. Visitors are encouraged to explore the different arenas and experience the many activities throughout the day.

A Dedicated Area for Dogs

Dogs are an integral part of Store Hestedag, with a large dog area featuring breed showcases, Dog Dancing, Rally Obedience, agility and more. Guests may bring their own dogs and take part in selected activities under professional guidance.

A Full Experience for Visitors

In addition to competitions and shows, Store Hestedag offers a comprehensive marketplace with exhibitors, food stalls and opportunities to plan a full day of experiences. The event takes place over two days during the first weekend of September at the Roskilde Showground.
