Bjælkehytten – meetings where the pace slows down
There is a place where the pace is deliberately reduced, and meetings are given the time they deserve.
On the shores of the Isefjord lies Bjælkehytten Beach Resort – a truly distinctive meeting and retreat venue where nature, tranquillity and togetherness shape the experience.
A setting designed for focus and reflection
Bjælkehytten is an authentic log cabin, built around 100 years ago and inspired by traditional Canadian cabins. Surrounded by fjord, shoreline and unspoilt nature, it provides a setting for meetings, workshops and small conferences that feel far removed from the conventional meeting room.
With open skies, a calm atmosphere and a sense of simplicity, the setting encourages reflection, meaningful dialogue and presence. The rustic character, combined with carefully considered facilities, creates an environment where relationships are strengthened and new perspectives can emerge.
Meetings with nature as an active element
Bjælkehytten is ideal for smaller meetings, strategy days, leadership sessions and team development, where the surroundings are not merely a backdrop but an active part of the process. Meetings can be combined with outdoor activities, breaks by the fjord and shared meals prepared over an open fire.
The informal and uncomplicated setup makes it easy to stay focused – without interruptions, rigid structures or a sense of urgency.
Shared experiences that bring people together
Your host and guide is Gordon P. Henriksen, an experienced angler and outdoor enthusiast, who welcomes participants and introduces experiences that foster connection and shared memories.

One simple rule
Bjælkehytten is a place that cannot be fully explained – it has to be experienced.
And there is one rule that sets the tone for every stay:
Being in a hurry is strictly forbidden.
