Svanholm Eco-Collective shelters
Stay overnight in the heart of nature at Svanholm Estate, where a peaceful shelter site offers calm, presence and an authentic village atmosphere close to the Isefjord.

A peaceful base in Svanholm Forest
The shelter site is set in a clearing in Svanholm Forest, near the historic Svanholm Estate and its well-known co-housing community. The area is quiet and relaxed, with tall trees, birdsong and a welcome distance from traffic and urban life. It is ideal for hikers, cyclists and families looking for simple accommodation close to nature. There are two small shelters, available on a first come, first served basis.
Shelters and facilities
The site has two shelters, each sleeping around 4–5 people, as well as good space for pitching tents. There is a covered dining area, fire pits, a composting toilet and access to running water. This creates a pleasant setting for cooking over an open fire, relaxing and enjoying cosy evenings outdoors.
Close to routes and local experiences
Svanholm is an excellent stop on longer journeys. The Fjord Path and Regional Route 40 run along the Isefjord about 6 km west of the estate and are popular with both walkers and cyclists. The Pontoppidan Route passes about 4 km away near Skibby, providing easy access to the area. The combination of woodland, fjord and open countryside makes this a suitable place for both short stays and longer breaks.
Practical information
Overnight stays cost DKK 30 per person per night, while children under 6 stay free of charge. Payment is made via MobilePay following the instructions on site. The host address is Svanholm Oplevelser, Svanholm Gods 16A, 4050 Skibby.
