Byparken forms a green link between central Roskilde and the harbour by Roskilde Fjord. The park occupies a sloping site with mature trees, open lawns and views towards the water. Its location makes it a natural stop on the route between Roskilde Cathedral, the harbour and the Viking Ship Museum.

Walks, play and picnics in Byparken

Visitors use the park for walks, picnics, play and ball games. There is also a playground for younger children. When winter weather allows, the slope becomes a popular place for sledging.

Byparken is also suitable for a walk with a dog while enjoying the view across Roskilde Fjord.
