The Blue Flag is a quality mark that indicates, among other things, high bathing water quality. When you visit a Blue Flag beach or harbour, you can expect high water quality, clear environmental information, good outdoor facilities and a focus on bathing safety. Find Blue Flag beaches here: Marbæk Strandpark, Herslev Strand, Kulhuse Strand and Vigen Strandpark.

You can walk on almost all beaches 24 hours a day – even if the beach is privately owned. A good rule of thumb is that you can walk and stay on beaches that consist of stones and sand. You can only walk on beaches and coastlines. Remember that dogs must be kept on a lead from 1 April to 30 September.
Roskilde Fjord in Skjoldungernes Land National Park is a very special area of nature. It is designated as an EC nature reserve and is also one of the top 10 places for blue recreation in Denmark. Respect the bird life and go where the outdoor facilities are best. For example, Roskilde Harbour, Boserup Skov, Salvad Parken or Vigen Strandpark.
